Developmental Aid Organization (DAID) and Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) are working hardly to build sustainable peace in Sudan through combating drugs and its crimes in Darfur.
Positive youth Development is an international, prosaically approach that engages youth within their communities, schools, organisations, peer groups, and families in a manner that is productive and constructive, recognise, utilise and enhances young people’s strengths and promotes positive outcomes for young people by providing opportunities, fostering positive relationships and furnishing the support needed to build on their leadership strengths.
More than 7 million people suffer from an illicit drug disorder in the world including Sudan. In fact, more deaths, illnesses and disabilities are associated with drug abuse than any other preventable health condition. People suffering from drug and alcohol in addiction also have a higher risk of unintentional injuries, accidents and domestic violence incidents. In case of Sudan, there is spread of drugs among youth and student more than any one.
Peace building and Conflict prevention through raising awareness on risks of Drugs and behavior change workshops project:
The strategic goal of the project is to promote peaceful co-existing concepts among community components in Saraf Umra. This project proposed to raise the awareness of community on drugs abuse and changing/reforming their behaviors to the right direction to develop positive youth able to participate in developing the country.
